David Carlyle Association e.V.
David Carlyle, owner of “The Body Shop” in Goettingen supported the organization “Sudan Women in Development and Peace” (SWIDAP).
He regularly flew emergency supplies and building materials from the Sudanese base-camp into the community of Ayod (Western Upper Nile Region in South-Sudan).
On May 6th 2004 David Carlyle died in a tragical crash-landing. It was soon clear that Nicole Carlyle would continue her deceased husbands successful work in his name. Founded in October 2004 the “David Carlyle Association e. V.” took up its honorary work for the public welfare on May 6th 2005 – the day of Davids death.
The “David Carlyle Association e. V.” supports people by helping them to help themselves. The synergetic effect strengthens the self-confidence and community-spirit among the peoples.
